One of the best parts of our job is the random way we end up meeting our clients. David’s sister saw a wedding we shot in Seattle & forwarded the link to Ashley + David saying, “I don’t know if they’d come here to photograph your wedding, but you should have photographers like this.” David decided to take a chance and contact us, and we were all “CHHHYEAAHHH, we’d love to shoot your wedding in Philadelphia.” New people and places are our thang! David is a youth pastor so we knew they’d be crazy fun, and that’s a must in CarlyLovesAmosLand. After a few months of e-mails and Skype dates, we finally got to meet Ashley + David face to face the day before their wedding. We had lunch with some of their crew and the welcome was so warm that I still get the fuzzies thinking about it. :)
David + Ashley had recently visited Argentina, where his family is from, and they spoiled us with a gift: traditional Argentinian tea, along with a silver mug with our names carved in it. What?! Our clients are too nice. After lunch, we all went shopping (see, they speak our language).
Onto the wedding day! Ashley + David told us the thing they were most excited about on their wedding day was the photos. Yessssss, sign us up. With their passion for each other, life & photos, these two were a blast to document. And their wedding party were quite possibly some of the most crazy fun people we’ve come across. Ashley + David found a neat boathouse for all the festivities to take place. We loved the nautical theme (check out the bridesmaids’ dresses – ahhhdorable!) and random touches (see: socks!).
