Ever wish you could sit down with a photographer and pick their brain, asking whatever you want?
Workshops can be great, but in the formative years of our business, one-on-one mentoring yielded immediate growth in our shooting and business. If you’re looking for guidance on what it takes to build a thriving photography business, we’re opening up our studio/home for a limited number of mentoring sessions this year. We LOVE other photographers and think we all have a lot to gain by joining forces and sharing knowledge. We care about your success, and we want to pass on what we’ve learned in our 9 years of business. ALSO, IT IS A BLAST OF A TIME.
Each mentoring session is a fun experience laced with food, good chats and tangible steps to get you focused on the road ahead. We work with you beforehand to completely customize the content of our time together. Everything is catered to exactly where you are.We offer sit-down mentoring, mock shoots, or a combo of the two.Mentoring (in person or via Skype) :

Words from our mentees:
“Before we met with Carly & Amos, we really had no direction for our business. Not only in where we wanted to truly see our business grow in the next year, but also in shooting technique and in our over all branding. The moment we stepped into their home, we felt super comfortable and like we had been friends forever. They challenged us in asking good questions regarding our brand and shooting style, and then worked with us to improve some of our shooting and lighting techniques. Not only did we leave with full hearts (and full stomachs – small plates & gelato, hello?) but we left really excited to begin to implement what we learned into our business. I highly recommend spending some one-on-one time with Carly & Amos. It will be a huge benefit to your business. Not only will you learn a lot, but you will have a TON of fun.”

“As a high school student, it’s hard trying to determine what career path to choose. The possibilities are endless! Photography has always been an interest of mine, but of course, there are things to consider when thinking about making photography a reality. (Will I be successful? Am I creative enough to stand out to others?) Carly + Amos totally put my mind at ease and were encouraging enough to convince me that I can create the life I want. They explained the realities of photography while also explaining what makes photography so great. I loved getting to talk with them on a personal level and seeing what their life is like behind the scenes. I also had the opportunity to go out shooting with them, which gave me TONS of new knowledge on my camera and how to use it to the best of my ability. They completely revolved the session around me and my interests and talked to me a lot about my personal style/how to enhance who I am through my photos. Although I walked in with an uneasy feeling about my future, I left feeling completely inspired and ready to get started on my career. It wouldn’t have been possible without these two!”
