I’m 100% an urban girl…until I’m not. :) See, the dealio as photographers is that we’ve shot in a thousand identical fields, not to mention tree rows. If we don’t deliver a unique product to our clients, what is the point of continuing in this career? If your photos end up looking like everyone else’s, you can slap us.
Scouting in northern Minnesota for Anne + Jamie’s shoot was a great reminder to rub elbows with locals whenever possible. A resort owner, who was kind enough to let us shoot on his property, also pointed us toward these falls. My internal convo before checking them out was, “Eh. Waterfalls can end up being lackluster. Hard to do justice to both the waterfall and your subject. ” These fall though? They get credit for some of my favorite nature shots we’ve created in our career.
Anne + Jamie were ninja warriors and climbed to some precarious spots. “Anything for the shot,” they said, and I love them for it.
