I knew I wanted Carly Loves Amos to photograph my wedding when I fell in love with a friend’s wedding photos 4 years ago, 2 years before I even got engaged! After one e-mail exchange, I felt like I was talking to a longtime friend who was just as excited about our upcoming wedding as I was. Filling out their wedding day questionnaire was such a good (and fun!) way for Carly and Amos to get an idea of what we were envisioning for our day. They were able to see exactly what we were imagining, encouraged our vision, and complimented it in a creatively awesome way! When we came across Carly + Amos’ work, I thought there’s no way these guys are from North Dakota. They’re too good. What stood out about Carly + Amos’ work is how natural, unscripted, and fun it is. I’d get an email with the answer to a question I hadn’t even asked yet. They were extremely professional but also incredibly fun, which is a really hard balance to find. One thing she said that made me book them was that they don’t create the typical cookie cutter wedding photos and that they really care about their clients and making sure their wedding day is awesome. Early on, we decided we’d hire an A-team for our wedding and were very particular about the vendors we ultimately brought on board. Don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t a bridezilla and I wasn’t worried about everything being “perfect”, we just took the stance that we’d hire true professionals…people we could trust to come in and do what they do best. We found Carly Loves Amos on Facebook after stumbling upon a wedding they shot in St. Paul, and after a quick Skype session, we knew we wanted to work with them. We got married at Aria in downtown Minneapolis, an industrial, moody, yet elegant building. This place is gorgeous, but we’d heard that it can be a nightmare for amateur photographers who might not understand the complexities of shooting in that light. Carly and Amos were ready for anything and even came to town early so they could tour the space with our event coordinator. When we arrived on our wedding day, they had already found the best places to shoot in and around the venue and they seamlessly transitioned us from first look, to bride and groom shots, to family/wedding party pictures and everything beyond. No shot lists, no poses, no problem. Every photo we received captured the genuine emotion of our day and perfectly aligned to the tone we tried to set with our décor, music, and party. Some of our photography goals were to be different…to have a WOW factor, and to ensure we didn’t miss a single smile, tear or dance move as we look back on one of the most important days of ourlives. We couldn’t have picked better partners in helping us achieve those goals and we love the fact that Carly and Amos’ creativity, style and professionalism is so obvious when comparing our shots to other weddings we’ve seen. We still hear comments that our pictures look like they came out of a magazine.

Thinking about Carly and Amos just fills my heart with joy and love! Carly and Amos were basically the best choice that we made when planning our wedding! I didn’t know what to look for in a photographer until I saw their portfolio and I suddenly knew this was it. I loved the beautiful artistic photos, that don’t feel forced or artificial. I fell in love with them the first time we spoke. We had a ceremony in Bismarck and a reception in Arizona and Carly and Amos worked with us to create a schedule to cover both. I’m not usually very comfortable in front of the camera, but they made it so much fun. They are such a joy to be around and work with! I was afraid wedding photos would be stiff and awkward, but this was fun. And then we got the photos. Oh, the photos! I lack the ability to explain how much we love them! Carly and Amos are seriously AMAZING!!! I just cant say enough about them. They took our wedding photos in August, traveling to a DREAM location. They were SO GREAT about scouting out the perfect locations and perfect lighting for our images to reflect the gorgeous scenery we had!! They were fully prepared and I knew and felt like I could trust them. They not only made me feel comfortable but were just so much FUN! When I got my wedding images back it brought all those crazy happy emotions back and they seriously were PERFECT. Every. Single. Image. At 18 years old, I discovered Carly Loves Amos Photography. I fell in love with them and knew I needed to have them photograph my future wedding (ha yeah right, I was “never getting married”). When I met my now husband and found out that he was friends with them, I asked him to marry me right then and there….haha jk, But, he did ask me to marry him and did so with the help of Carly and Amos. Eeeek! They eventually did our wedding (holy crap my 18-year-old self was right!!) and I couldn’t be happier with our photos.
